Jazz at the Bechtler | A Night of Original Music by Ziad

LOCATION: BECHTLER MUSEUM OF MODERN ART

FRIDAY, JANUARY 6 AT 6 PM AND 8:15 PM

Throughout its inception since 2010, Jazz at the Bechtler, led by Ziad Rabie and anchored by the Ziad Jazz Quartet, has put the spotlight on mid-century jazz showcasing local, regional, and top-ranked national musicians performing arrangements by legendary jazz artists. For the first time ever, Jazz at the Bechtler will kick-off the 2023 New Year with “A Night of Original Music by Ziad.”

This special concert places the spotlight on Ziad, acclaimed saxophonist and artistic director of Jazz at the Bechtler, as he performs seven of his own original compositions. On stage joining Ziad Rabie (saxophone) for a night of original music will be Kobie Watkins (drums), Lovell Bradford (piano), Ron Brendle (bass), and Al Strong (trumpet).
