Mid-century art meets mid-century music on the first Friday of each month at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art. Jazz concerts are performed by the Ziad Jazz Quartet.
The quartet features Ziad Rabie, artistic director and saxophone; Noel Freidline, keyboards; Ron Brendle, bass; and Rick Dior (or Al Sergel), drums. Concerts may also feature guest musicians and vocalists.
Concertgoers may choose from one of two shows: 6 to 7:30 p.m. or 8:15 to 9:45 p.m. Each concert is performed without an intermission.

October 7 - Sinatra at the Bechtler ft. Joe Gransden (BOTH SHOWS SOLD OUT)
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6 p.m. show and at 7:45 for the 8:15 show. Seating is first come, first served. Standing room only is available after all seats are claimed. Each concert is performed without an intermission in the museum lobby.
A cash-only bar is open before and during the concert.
Tickets are $14 for the public and $8 for museum members. Purchase tickets online by using the links next to each concert listing above. Tickets may be purchased online, by phone at 704.353.9200 or at the admission desk. In the event the concert is nearly sold out, a limited number of additional tickets are available by calling the admission desk only. No walk up sales on the night of the show.
Museum visitors receive discounted parking in the Levine Center for the Arts garage. Ask for discount ticket at the front desk.
