Mid-century art meets mid-century music on the first Friday of each month at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art. Jazz concerts are performed by the Ziad Jazz Quartet.
The quartet features Ziad Rabie, artistic director and saxophone; Noel Freidline, keyboards; Ron Brendle, bass; and Rick Dior (or Al Sergel), drums. Concerts may also feature guest musicians and vocalists.
Concertgoers may choose from one of two shows: 6 to 7:30 p.m. or 8:15 to 9:45 p.m. Each concert is performed without an intermission.
PERFORMANCE
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6 p.m. show and at 7:45 for the 8:15 show. Seating is first come, first served. Standing room only is available after all seats are claimed. Each concert is performed without an intermission in the museum lobby. Tickets are $16 for the public, and just $10 for museum members. General seating is first come, first served. Enjoy light bites and a bar serving beer, wine and liqour. Standing room only is available after all seats are claimed.
